I am switching hosts today and will place the new web site this afternoon. I will have to recreate my blogroll, but all posts and comments should carry over just fine.
When I signed on to yahoo part of the deal was that it would update WordPress automatically. It has not carried through on its promise. When I contacted yahoo I was told that all new versions of WordPress would have to be ‘checked for stability’ before updating. Funny, yahoo never quite got around to doing this. In other words, all updates would have to be done by me or by others or they would not be done at all.
Not cool, and not part of the deal.
I am getting an entirely new domain, called—surprisingly—The Return of Scipio. I hope to have the old site automatically redirect to the new one.
Not being able to indulge my habit of writing every morning has been more than a little frustrating. But the world will survive.
