Democrats are so predictable. They spend most of their lives ignoring the Bible—you know, all those clear and consistent teachings on abortion, on sodomy, on instructing the young, on mendacity, on corruption, on adultery, on God and Caesar, on chastity. Then, in a mad whirligig of activity—always, always, at election time—they trot out dusty Bibles, self-proclaimed ‘Christian’ pastors, Gospel singers and chant a chorus of ‘Hallelujah!’ and ‘Praise the Lord!’

Just such a thing is happening right now in Denver, where that portable Sodom called ‘the Democrat Convention’ has squatted. To read reports of all the ‘God talk’ going on there one would think that the event was being arranged by Billy Sunday.

And what was God’s response to all those mountebanks, preeners, posers and pretenders who dare to speak in His name? He sent tornados.

I certainly understand the Democrats’ dilemma. They hate God but need the votes of His followers. Alas, most of these are Republicans who have no use for the obvious paganism of the Democrats. So the scheme is to fool just enough Christians and get just enough votes to send the Obama to the White House. After which—but of course—those clever Democrats will continue their assault upon Christianity.

A quick review of just a small sampling of this assault:

Who is behind sex education and teaching masturbation to kindergartners? Who is behind removing prayer from schools? Who is trying to remove all traces of Christianity from the US military? Who is behind abortion? Who is behind euthanasia? Who is behind embryonic stem cell research? Who is behind the spread of sodomy to all levels of society? Who is outraged at any public display of Christianity? Who is behind the attempt to deny Christians the right to home school their children? Who supports the ‘right’ of sodomites and lesbians to marry? Who supports the ‘rights’ of pornographers? Who supports ‘art’ that blasphemes Christ and His mother? Who persecutes those who would place the Ten Commandments in a court house?

If you answered ‘the Democrats’ to all of them, you may move to the head of the class. Now, just for fun, open your Bibles and get God’s take on all of these. Take your time.

But one must give credit to those Democrats. They are certainly earnest—not in anything remotely resembling the Christian faith but in trying to appear to be believers. Christ warned us of such folks.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves…I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7:15-23)

And ‘lawlessness’ against the moral law of God is just what the Democrats have served up for 50 years. 

Their media acolytes are naturally in lock-step with the Dems. One could not insert the thinnest of knives between the morality preached by the media and that preached by the Democrats. Here they portray the Obama as fond of Lutheran sermons and a master in the art of Christian humility.

I had never thought that a rational being would connect Obama with humility, but the media do surprise. And here the gushing headline is simply all agog with religion.

And how exactly do the media define ‘faith filled’? Well, there was the heretical pro-abortion nun who compared Bush to Hitler and called the obvious faith of Bush “a narrow and hateful brand of Christian fundamentalism.” There were four ‘faith caucus’ meetings. There was the phony Jim Wallis who said “Jesus didn’t speak at all about homosexuality.” There was the endless babbling about ‘values.’

And the result of all this prancing and fakery?

Despite all the effort, there is little evidence religious votes are shifting. A Pew poll released last week showed the political preferences of religious voters, including highly sought Catholics and white evangelicals, have scarcely budged since 2004…white evangelicals have become so solidly Republican, Obama has little chance of carving too deeply into the Republican lead…

Well, I could have told them that. Christians are not idiots to be manipulated by the likes of Obama and his new best pal, that pretend Catholic and abortion lover Biden.

Just so those Denver Democrats might understand what it means to be a Christian, here is the key: A man becomes a Christian when he invites Christ to indwell in him. Christ enters and begins to create a new man. All that is rotten and wicked is burnt away. The process is painful but the result is glorious. The man comes to have one foot on earth and the other in Eternity. At his death he sees the face of Christ.

The Democrats ape Christianity by dancing around with Bibles, twirling Rosaries and yelling out ‘Amen, brother!’ All they are really doing is writhing in a grotesque danse macabre directed by the Prince of the Air.

The first incident at the Democratic Party national convention in Denver occurred before the gavel fell at the opening of the event. A pro-life pastor, who says he is upset with the party because of its pro-abortion position, spoke to an interfaith gathering with comments blasting Barack Obama…

Bishop Blake unequivocally denounced abortion, saying God could not be pleased with millions of lives being ended by elective abortion…There was nothing subtle about it. He identified himself as a pro-life Democrat and blatantly challenged his party’s historic position on abortion…

[T]he hall, filled with several thousand Democratic activists, fell uneasily silent as Blake spoke against abortion.

Democrats fell ‘uneasily silent’? Why? Abortion is just ‘choice’ after all.

I guess it must be that sticking scissors into a baby’s brain might just ruin one’s day.

Update: Nancy Pelosi is yet another pretend Catholic—along with Biden and Kennedy and Kerry and Cuomo and the rest of that sorry throng. She does not believe in the Real Presence and she is a rabid supporter of abortion and sodomite privilege. Her ‘Catholicism’ is merely for show—and to garner the votes of other pretend Catholics. Just more sham and pretense from another Democrat leader who uses God as a propaganda ploy.

My granddaughter was buying into it, okay. But it is hard. Every Sunday for me it’s hard. Christ had died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Now think of it, we say that every week. Do I really believe he’s coming again? Yes, I believe he’s coming again. Christ died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again.

Pelosi, you had better hope the Hell that He doesn’t.
